Upside Slimin'
Blob is a little slimy friend running through the ups & downs of life while traversing two different worlds, his speed variying as he loses and collects pieces of slime (perhaps himself?).
Developed solely by Felipe Mello over the course of two weeks, this game was submitted to My First Game Jam in July 2021, which was indeed my first game jam entry. The game is a little 2D platformer/endless runner made to test platform generation and a simple gravity inversion mechanic.
Controls:
'Space Key' to Jump.
'W Key' to transition between worlds, inverting the game's gravity.
Update #1 (07.16.2021):
- WebGL build added.
- Few tweaks to colliders and sprite resolution.
Update #2 (07.23.2021):
- Overhauled platform generation (they're now spawned by simulating the player's jump, with a few adjustments to create variety).
- Corrected the bounds' tilemap movement trajectory.
- Added more velocity variation on player's movement speed.
- Added an arrow indicating the general position of the next platform currently spawning.
- Added an Options Menu with master volume, movement variation, and arrow indicator settings.
